product guide

The best way to care for your skin is to know as much as you can about it. This includes the products you use and how you should use them. For a clearer understanding and clearer, smoother skin - here is the Simple Truth.

Are Simple products tested on animals?

Simple products are not tested on animals. It is a policy of Simple not to undertake any animal testing during the development of its cosmetic and toiletry products.

Simple has never sponsored, either directly or indirectly, animal testing of any of our products nor of the ingredients used in their manufacture. A great deal of research and development is conducted on the formulation of all our products within the Simple range. We do this by only using known ingredients that have an established and satisfactory safety record. In addition, all Simple products and ingredients are subject to full product safety clearance in compliance with the European Cosmetic Directive. Should further research be required on a particular product or ingredient, we can confirm that as a responsible manufacturer, suitable non-animal testing techniques are employed.

Where do you source Palm Oil from?

The maker of Simple, Accantia Health & Beauty Ltd, is an active member of the CTPA (Cosmetic, Toiletry and Perfumery Association), which has continuing dialogue with organisations such as RTSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil) in order to try and encourage sustainable production of toiletry ingredients.

Are Simple products made from animal-derived ingredients?

The Simple range of products is free of animal-derived ingredients, with the exception of Simple Pure Soap , which contain Sodium Tallowate. All other products including the Simple Facial Cleansing Bar are animal-free.

Do you use animal-derived Glycerine in any of your products?

No, our products only contain Glycerine from vegetables.
