Which of your products are soap-free?

All of our products are soap-free, except for Simple Pure Soap and Simple Facial Cleansing Bar.

Are there any ingredients derived from animals in your products?

The Simple range of products is free of animal-derived ingredients, with the exception of Simple Pure Soap, which contains Sodium Tallowate. All other products including the Simple Facial Cleansing Bar are animal-free.

Do any of your products contain alcohol?

The term 'alcohol' only means the ingredient has been distilled during its manufacture. Ingredients like 'Cetyl Alcohol' are not connected with the drinking beverage, alcohol. However, this alcohol is used in cosmetic products but will be specifically listed as 'Alcohol', 'Alcohol Denat' or 'Ethyl Alcohol' on the product label.

These ingredients are not used in Simple products, with the exception of Simple Deodorant Roll-on as without this ingredient, the deodorant will not dry.

What is Pro-vitamin B5 used for in Simple products?

Pro-Vitamin B5 improves and increases the moisture retention capacity of the skin, allowing dry skin to stay supple and elastic longer. It has anti-inflammatory and anti-itching properties and stimulates skin regeneration.

What are the benefits of vitamin E?

Vitamin E, an anti-oxidant, is often obtained from wheat germ, vegetable oils or plants such as almonds, kiwi fruits and mangos. Anti-oxidants protect skin from external influences such as air pollution. It preserves skin moisture, and contributes to the elasticity and health of the skin. Vitamin E can also help slow down ageing and speed up healing of the skin.

Why is almond oil used in Simple products?

Derived from almonds, easily absorbed into skin and a lubricant, almond oil keeps skin supple. It’s also a great emollient for softening, conditioning and moisturising the skin. It is a light, non-greasy, penetrating oil that is excellent for all skin types.

What is grapefruit oil used for in Simple products?

Originally from Asia, now cultivated in the USA, Brazil and Israel, the grapefruit tree is a glossy leafed tree around 10 metres high with white flowers. Oil glands are embedded deep within the peel of the grapefruit and yield a small amount of essential oil. Grapefruit oil tones skin and tissue; it also helps oily skin.

Why does Simple use Phycosaccharide?

Phycosaccharide is a marine botanical anti-irritant that calms and soothes the skin whilst strengthening the natural protection of young sensitive skin.

What is Witch Hazel used for?

Witch Hazel is obtained from the twigs of the hamamelis virginana tree. It has astringent properties, removes excess surface oils from the skin and has cooling and antiseptic qualities.

What is Oat Beta Glucan?

Oat Beta Glucan is a natural anti-irritant, which helps to stimulate the skin's immune system, strengthening its ability to protect itself.

What are the benefits of green tea used in Simple products?

Green Tea is used in Simple Regeneration Age Resisting Day Cream and Simple Regeneration Age Resisting Night Renewal. It is a natural anti-oxidant extracted from unfermented leaves of the Camellia Sinensis Tree, found in Asia. Green Tea has been proven to have twice as much anti-oxidant power as Vitamin E, so it's great to use in your skincare regime.

What is chamomile used for?

Chamomile is used extensively in skincare products for its essential oil azulene, which acts as an emollient, anti-inflammatory, skin-soothing agent and provides anti-oxidation.

Why does Simple use natural loofah?

Natural loofah helps to purify, improve skin tone and stimulate your circulation.

What is Ginkgo Biloba used for in Simple products?

Ginkgo Biloba, used in Simple Regeneration Age Resisting Night Renewal, is derived from one of the world's oldest living trees, which has a lifespan of over a thousand years. Ginkgo Biloba is good for your skin because it contains anti-oxidants, which can help fight the signs of ageing caused by the environment. On top of that, it also improves blood flow to the cheeks, which means healthier, rosier skin.
